On the basis of the Decree on the establishment of the public institution Youth Cultural Centre Maribor (Interobčinski uradni vestnik, 2012, No 16), the Director of the public institution adopts the following
HOUSE RULES OF HOSTEL PEKARNA
- General provisions
Article 1
The owner of the space is the Municipality of Maribor and the space is managed by the Maribor Youth Cultural Centre. The manager of the Youth Cultural Centre is the administrator of the hostel.
These rules define the smooth use of the space, order, safety and cleanliness of the Pekarna Hostel, located at Ob železnici 16, Maribor (hereinafter referred to as the "space"), as well as the rights and obligations of the users of the space.
Article 2
Users of the space are those who are allowed to use the spatial (e.g. rooms, dining room, lecture theatres, etc.), material (e.g. chairs, tables, etc.) and technical (e.g. computers, projector, etc.) capacities of the space, irrespective of the form of participation (e.g. employees of the public institution, guests, etc.).
The occupancy of the space, the material and technical capacities of the space are coordinated by the hostel staff; the occupancy of rooms, lecture rooms and common areas via the software on the receptionist's computer, the occupancy and loan of material and technical capacities in internal documents and with signed reverses.
External operators may rent space for their own activities only if they have signed a prior agreement on the use of the space.
Article 3
Users are obliged to use the premises and the material and technical capacities of the premises in such a way that they do not damage them and do not disturb other users. It is forbidden to remove the material and technical capacities of the premises from the premises without the prior consent of the employees of Hostel Pekarna and a signed reversal.
The user must treat the equipment as a good steward.
In case of negligent treatment of the space and the material and technical capacities of the space by the user or participants of the user's activities, which cause damage, the user is obliged to pay the cost of repair or purchase of new equipment.
Hostel staff are responsible for enforcing and observing the house rules. In the event of non-compliance with the house rules, the following measures will be taken against the offender:
- temporary or permanent prohibition on the use of the premises,
- removal from the premises,
- claim for compensation for damage caused,
- we will call the police
In addition to the hostel staff, representatives of the owner of the premises (the Municipality of Maribor), the responsible person of the public institution and the authorised security service are authorised to check the implementation of the house rules. They have the right to check compliance with the house rules at any time, even without the user's permission, anywhere on the hostel premises.
The amount of the damage shall be determined by the public body within the limits of the actual costs of repairing the damage.
Users leave their personal belongings in the premises at their own risk and the Maribor Youth Cultural Centre is not responsible for them.
In accordance with the Video Surveillance Regulations, cameras are installed inside and outside the premises to ensure the protection of property and people.
Article 4
Users are obliged to inform Hostel Pekarna staff immediately of any defects or deficiencies found.
- Tidiness, cleanliness, order and peace
Article 5
Cleanliness refers to the following:
- rooms, lecture theatres, common areas, bike shed and surroundings are tidy,
- the walls are maintained,
- windows and blinds are maintained,
- electrical installations comply with the applicable standards,
- the laundry room with toilet is maintained and regularly cleaned.
Cleanliness means that rooms, lecture theatres, common areas, the bike shed and the surrounding area are clean. The room administrator is obliged to ensure that waste is collected separately.
Order means that users observe and abide by the house rules.
Quiet means that the users ensure that the space is used in such a way that it does not disturb other users and that the noise limit values are not exceeded in accordance with the Regulation on the limit values for ambient noise indicators.
The use of internal combustion engines, drilling and grinding machines, hammers, saws and other noisy tasks which cause high ambient noise levels shall be permitted between 8:00 and 19:00 on Mondays and Saturdays. The use of the above-mentioned devices and the carrying out of the tasks in question are also prohibited on public holidays.
Article 6
It is the responsibility of the users and the room administrator to keep the room tidy and clean. The room administrator organises regular cleaning, which is either carried out by a cleaner employed by the public institution or by external help.
Cigarette butts shall not be thrown on the ground around the room.
Article 7
To ensure order, tidiness, peace and cleanliness, the following are not permitted:
- change the external appearance of the building, drill into the facade without the consent of the Maribor Youth Cultural Centre, the owner of the premises and the competent authorities,
- carry out alterations or changes to the installations in the premises without the consent of the Maribor Youth Cultural Centre and the owner of the premises,
- to carry out activities in the premises which cause odour,
- make excessive noise, shouting or music in or around the premises,
- arbitrarily close the common areas or otherwise obstruct access to them,
- erect antennas or other radio-communication devices,
- placing unsecured objects on window sills which allow water to escape in the event of rain or watering, or other movable objects which may cause injury to passers-by if dropped,
- use excessive electricity or water in common areas and connect additional electricity consumers to common meters,
- storing bicycles and pushchairs in places not designated for that purpose,
- store bicycles by leaning them against the walls of the room,
- writing on or otherwise damaging walls,
- throwing waste down drains,
- storing or using flammable liquids and substances which are toxic or otherwise dangerous.
- Hostel reception
Article 8
Reception opening hours are Monday to Sunday between 08:00 and 21:00. The opening hours of the reception may be changed by decision of the Director.
- Use of rooms at the hostel
9. Article
When a group or individual departs, the rooms used are checked. If the rooms are very dirty or have been smoked in, an additional cleaning fee may be charged according to the current Pekarna Hostel price list.
A nightly quiet time is required between 22:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. every day of the week.
Items left in rooms by guests will be kept for 30 days, after which they will be disposed of or given to local charities/humanitarian/ecological organisations, depending on the item itself.
- Common areas
The hostel's common areas (dining room, kitchen and living room) are open between 08:00 and 20:30.
The kitchen, dining room and living room are for Pekarna Hostel guests only. After each use of the kitchen and dining room, users must clean the dishes and work surfaces and clear the tables behind them. After using the living room, please put away any borrowed books, toys or board games.
Two fridges are available for hostel guests. One is located in the communal kitchen, the other in the corridor on the 2nd floor. Please label the food you put in the fridges with your name and the date of departure. All unlabelled and expired food will be thrown away.
It is forbidden to take or move inventory in the rooms and common areas of Hostel Pekarna.
Accommodation and use
- Please do not damage or remove items intended for the accommodation and stay of guests at Hostel Pekarna. Failure to do so will result in a charge for damage or removal according to the current Pekarna Hostel price list.
- It is forbidden to change the spatial layout of the rooms.
- The use of sleeping bags is strictly prohibited.
- Each guest receives free bed linen and a towel for use at Hostel Pekarna. Free towel replacement is after 3 days, free linen replacement is after 14 days. Bed linen and towels can be exchanged early at an extra charge, according to the current Pekarna Hostel price list.
- Rooms are cleaned once a week during your stay at Hostel Pekarna. During this time, please clean your rooms yourself.
- For safety reasons, leaning over windows or balcony railings is forbidden. Windows may only be used for ventilation. Window sills must not be used for sitting, and shouting and throwing objects and rubbish out of the window is forbidden.
- Pekarna Hostel reception staff are authorised to enforce the house rules and have the right to take the above-mentioned measures on the Pekarna Hostel premises.
- In the event of non-compliance with the house rules, the following measures will be taken against the offender:
- temporary or permanent ban from the Pekarna Hostel premises,
- removal from the premises of Hostel Pekarna,
- claim for compensation for damage caused and loss of income due to the damage,
- we will call the police
- The amount of the damage will be determined by the host within the limits of the actual cost of repairing the damage. The costs will be paid directly to Hostel Pekarna. Exceptions may be made only by agreement with the management of the establishment. If the guest does not agree, the damage will be determined through the ordinary legal procedure, which is the responsibility of the court of law in Maribor.
Important note
- Inappropriate and disrespectful behaviour towards hotel staff and other guests is forbidden! If necessary, we will call the police.
Article 10
- In the event of a fire alarm, you must leave immediately, according to the plan posted in the room. The fire order and exit signs are clearly marked and displayed in the room. In the event of a fire alarm, leave the rooms and the building immediately by the emergency exits posted. Emergency exits shall also be adequately signposted throughout the building. The fire assembly point is located in the car park of Hostel Pekarna. Fire regulations and emergency exit signs are posted in the rooms and common areas of Hostel Pekarna.
All users of the premises are required to inform themselves about the location of fire extinguishers.
Article 11
Hostel Pekarna is open after opening hours, from Monday to Sunday, between 8 AM - 9 PM, or otherwise due to activities. If the opening hours change, this will be announced on the Hostel Pekarna website and/or social media and on the front door.
- What to do during natural disasters, other major emergencies and war
Article 12
Guests staying at the Pekarna Hostel must comply with the instructions of the competent authorities in the event of natural disasters and war.
- Transitional and final provisions
Article 13
Violations of the house rules are subject to the sanctions provided for in the Civil Procedure Code and other applicable rules and regulations.
The House Rules are publicly available on the Pekarna Hostel website and at the Pekarna Hostel reception.
Guests of Hostel Pekarna are obliged to comply with the House Rules.
